It wasn’t just motorists on the Hume Freeway who founds themselves in water today – Albury got a dose of flash-flooding late in the day.
While the North East rainfall totals of more than 150 millimetres in areas surpassed totals on the Border, the late downpour on Thursday did lead to some flash flooding.
Elders was reporting that Albury recorded 21.8mm of rain, while Wodonga had 47.6mm.
The highest rainfall in the state was at Everton, with 165 millimetres - a record for December.
Eldorado received 110mm.
