The police seizure followed the execution of both a firearms prohibition order and a search warrant at a property on Batlow Road, Willigobung, north of Tumbarumba, late on Thursday morning.
Officers from the Riverina Police District carried out the raid with the help of the Tactical Operations Unit, the State Protection Support Unit, the Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit and the NSW Police Dog Unit.
Methamphetamine, cannabis seeds and knuckle dusters, along with the ammunition, were seized.
Police said a “number of electronic items” were also uncovered and that these were still be forensically examined.
And it’s not the only such operation police have in mind for the area.
“We are planning further operations of this type around the Tumbarumba area to target identified crime pathways,” Detective Inspector Stephen Radford said.
Inspector Radford said the raids were “another great example” of police utilising state-wide resources to tackle regional crime issues.
The occupant of the house raided, a 40-year-old man, was issued with several infringements for animal cruelty-related offences.
That came after a dog on the property was seized.
Police have urged anyone who might have information in relation to thefts from properties around the Tumbarumba to not hesitate in coming forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who knows about the unlawful possession of firearms in the area.
