Officers from the Albury and Wodonga region gathered dozens of items of food together to support those struggling through drought.
Albury Superintendent Evan Quarmby said he was surprised by how many items had been donated in the past fortnight.
“Policing is not all about enforcement, it is also about being part of our community,” he said.
“I am proud of the farmers and country people who helped build this nation, so when people are in distress, I'm also proud to be part of an organisation that chips in to help.”
Items including Vegemite, cereals and personal care products were sent off for donation on Friday.
Superintendent Quarmby said it was important to support farmers who were struggling.
