Emergency services were called to the collision on Bonegilla Road at Bonegilla, about 1.5 kilometres from the NSW border, about 8am on Monday.
A Ford Falcon ute had been heading eastbound when it hit a kangaroo.
The injured animal was on the road when a red Mazda stopped to avoid hitting it.
A Ford Escape travelling behind the Mazda failed to see the vehicle and hit it from behind, causing the car to roll.
The driver in the flipped vehicle was taken to Albury hospital with minor injuries.
All other drivers were unhurt.
Police are investigating and may issue a ticket to the driver who struck the Mazda.
The incident followed a truck rollover at Thurgoona on Sunday afternoon.
Witnesses saw the vehicle start to tilt on Thurgoona Drive as it turned right towards the Hume Highway.
The truck, which had been carrying timber, rolled onto a guard rail.
There were no injuries to the driver.
The truck had filled up at the nearby BP service station a short time before the crash.
Onlookers said the truck had only been travelling at a slow speed.
Police will take further statements and continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
