With the Sydney Swans assistant-coach returning to his home town for the Christmas break, the Magpies jumped at the opportunity to have him in charge of a one-hour session.
“It’s great to have Steve involved,” senior coach Luke Morgan said.
“His record speaks for itself.
“The whole football group will be involved.”
Wangaratta has had solid numbers at pre-season training with about 30 senior players on the track at Norm Minns Oval and another nine in Melbourne.
”We’re training hard and moving forward,” Morgan said.
Saturday’s training starts at 9am.
