The Chapel Care Family Lunch organised by New Life Chapel, 158 De Kerilleau Drive, begins at 11.30am on Tuesday and caters for about 120 people.
Last year’s inaugural event attracted 111 people, with the event open to anybody wanting to enjoy a Christmas meal with others.

The lunch follows the church’s 10am Christmas Day service.

Several other free Christmas Day lunches will also take place around the Border and North East, providing some extra company and friendship.
The St Stephen’s Uniting Church, Wodonga, community lunch is now in its 19th year.
About 130 people and a team of 50 volunteers attended the 2017 event at the church.
Events have also been planned in Yackandandah at Butson Park and Wangaratta Uniting Church.
