The perfect crust cradles a luscious, lemony filling.
A pastry chef by trade, Paul Clancy and his wife Rachael took over the Albury business almost two years ago.
Formerly known as Casa Deli, the couple rebranded the business to Clancy’s Food Store earlier this year.
Having worked in Melbourne and Deniliquin, Paul said the Border offered his family a good lifestyle and quality local produce on their doorstep.
“Everything is made fresh on the premises,” he said.
“Our savoury products go very well.
“We use Mitta Beef for our pies in winter; we use local suppliers wherever possible.
“The food in Albury is as good as the food in Melbourne.”
The couple ran a successful business, Clancy’s Bakehouse in Malvern East for almost two decades before moving to Albury two years ago.
Paul grew up at Broadford and Rachael has family living on the Border, making the transition to regional NSW a desirable one.
Clancy’s Food Store is open Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. It will close for Christmas and reopen on January 14.
