Europa Gully Orchard owner Peter Chambeyron said a quality crop was ripe for the picking after an ideal season.
Mr Chambeyron said the heat last week had kept pickers away, as had changed traffic conditions between Beechworth and Wangaratta since the December floods.
“We need a lot of pick-your-own to avoid the waste,” he said.
“The quality is absolutely beautiful, the sugar content is fantastic, they’re pesticide-free and grown with no irrigation.”
Europa Gully Orchard is open for picking daily from 10am to 4pm with a twilight event on Saturday from 4pm to 8pm.
Cherries cost $5 a kilogram but discounts may be available for community, church and school groups.
People are welcome to pack a picnic dinner.
Europa Gully Orchard is 8 kilometres from the Beechworth Post Office on Chambeyron Road.
