The committee will select up to 12 finalists aged between 16 and 21 to receive recognition for their sporting achievements of 2018 at the award night on Friday, March 15, at Albury’s Commercial Club.
Sport Albury-Wodonga president Rob McDonald has encouraged sporting organisations to nominate their high achievers.
“It’s a good opportunity to be recognised within the community,” McDonald said.
“If anybody out there knows a young person that has achieved extremely well in sport, go to our website or Facebook page,” McDonald said.
“Applications are available and it’s easy to do, so get them in.”
Emma George, Lauren Jackson, Tim Lowndes, Rebekah Keat, Britteny Cox, Jesse Featonby and James Willett are all former Young Achiever winners.
Nominations close on Monday, January 14.
