Raucous Rock
That Chats, Endless Bummer tour, Beer Deluxe, Saturday 8pm
You might know them from their viral hit Smoko, but don’t sleep on the Sunshine Coast trio’s catalogue. Bassist and vocalist Eamon Sandwith won’t don the iconic lifesaving getup from the ‘Smoko’ video, but his glorious ginger mullet remains. Channelling the likes of Cosmic Psychos and Eddy Current Suppression Ring, The Chats are a something of a rare commodity – while there are comparisons to be made, there really isn’t anything quite like them. They’re edgy and raw, but they won’t scream your head off.
