UPDATE: Thursday 8:05am:
Emergency crews have returned to the Murray River on Thursday morning in Albury to search for a 21-year-old man who failed to resurface near the Noreuil Park boat ramp on Wednesday evening.
The RMS boat is already on the water and will be joined by police divers and the Albury and Border Rescue Squad this morning.
Albury and Border Rescue advise to avoid swimming in the area between Noreuil Park and the boat ramp.

EARLIER Thursday 7:00am:
Police confirmed they were looking for a 21-year-old man after he disappeared underwater.
Emergency crews will return to the Murray River on Thursday morning after a man went missing on Wednesday afternoon.
A search operation was suspended about 9.30pm on Wednesday and the man has not been seen overnight.
Police divers will join the RMS and Albury and Border Rescue Squad at the scene.

EARLIER Wednesday 10:40pm: A large search effort was ongoing on Wednesday night for a teenage boy who went missing from shallow waters at Noreuil Park in Albury.
The Border Mail understands a group of three teenage boys were in shallow water by a bank near the boat ramp.
The two friends tried to help the young man, who went under just before 7pm, but he did not resurface.
After raising the alarm, they spoke to police.
The pair were treated by paramedics and taken to Albury hospital.
The Albury Border Rescue Squad had two boats out on the water searching for the teenager.
Albury VRA were activated tonight at 7pm for reports of a missing person in the river, squad captain Paul Marshall said.
Two boats were on the water searching for three hours and will resume in the morning. We had crews on foot looking on the bank.
The search was expected to resume about 7am on Thursday.
