Greater Illawarra passed Riverina’s total of 151 two wickets down with just three balls to spare.
Riverina were bowled out in the 39th over for 151, but it could have been much worse after slipping to 5-45 early in the innings.
An 83-run stand between Ben Signor (50) and Jake Scott (36) got Riverina to a competitive score.
However, the spoils belonged to Greater Illawarra’s Lachlan Malcolm who finished with incredible figures of 8-17 from 7.4 overs.

Jordan Rhodes impressed for Riverina with 0-12.
“I spoke to the boys after the game and they were disappointed because I think we’re better than a two-win, three-loss team,” Riverina coach Mick Galvin said.
“The boys will learn so much from that.”
