POLICE divers have completed their search of the Murray River where 21-year-old Bigul Pandit was swept away on Wednesday evening.
They have now been required to move on to other jobs in the state.
Albury Border Search and Rescue Squad captain Paul Marshall said their search operations on the river would continue until Mr Pandit is found, but would now be scaled back.
“We will continue the search, although unfortunately it may be a matter of waiting until a body surfaces,” he said.
“Police divers have left due to a prior arrangement, however they have cleared the area where Mr Pandit was last seen.”
