Benalla got into a winning position after a dominant day one display away to Greta on Saturday.
The visitors dismissed Greta for just 104 and navigated trouble against the new ball to finish in a commanding position at 0-30.
Ryan Lloyd-Williams was the star with 4-21.
“All of our bowlers bowled really well to plans, especially Sam Gladstone, Tom Williams and Ryan Lloyd-Williams,” Benalla captain James Carboon said.
“Getting Greta out for 104 on day one is a perfect start for us and finishing 0-30 puts us in good stead for next week.”
Beechworth bowled out Yarrawonga-Mulwala for 163, thanks to 4-32 from Richard Worcester.
Wangaratta Magpies reached 193 against leaders City Colts, with 80 coming off the bat of Blair Carnegie.
A sublime knock of 96 from Michael Newton got Ovens Valley United to 161 against Rovers-United Bruck, while Joe Thomas took 4-36 for the Hawks.
