Mitta’s centre will be run by Wodonga TAFE, while childcare hubs at Bellbridge and Walwa will be taken over by Towong Council.
Member for Indi Cathy McGowan has lauded the result, which followed the college’s move last month.
“This update will address parents’ anxiety and confirms the new arrangements in a timely manner,” Ms McGowan said, noting the centres were likely to reopen in late January following their preplanned holiday closures.
Families hit by the college’s decision to also close Kergunyah’s childcare site had been able to find alternative care nearby, Ms McGowan said.
Greater Hume Council is becoming responsible for Henty and Walla childcare venues previously run by the college.
