Isabelle Little, 12, took out Judges Choice and 2nd Runner-Up in the junior category of Miss Fashion Week Universe, held at the Fairmont Hotel, Dallas, Texas, last month.
Her success at both Australian and international level has qualified her for the 2019 nationals in September in Melbourne.
She will move up a category to the teen division where the competition increases and includes runway in black wear, active wear (runway walk) and formal wear (pageant walk).
Isabelle’s mother Cellina said the US event and its accompanying workshops helped her daughter develop more confidence and poise.
“It was very much what Miss Fashion Week stands for, which is the self-love and the body positivity,” Mrs Little said.
“It’s something that I never thought that she would do and she’s come in and she’s learned so much and got such a high level of achievement in her first go, we’re just very, very proud of her.”
