Temperatures are predicted exceed 40 degrees for the next three days – which if occurs will mean the border has sweltered through five consecutive days of 40 plus temperature.
Aligned Leisure, who operates Wodonga WAVES, Albury Swim Centre and Lavington Swim Centre, announced via Facebook on Tuesday they would be offer a day of free entry at each facility this week due to the extreme heat.

The post said Albury Swim centre would open for free on Wednesday, WAVES on Thursday and Lavington on Friday.
Entry will be free 10am to closing.
On Monday, the Border Mail revealed Federation, Indigo, Towong and Wangaratta councils would offer free pool entry on various days during the heat wave.
Normal fees apply in Greater Hume but hours will be extended until 8pm.
