The Victorian Small Business Commission launched its first video conference mediation this week.
Victorian Small Business Commissioner Judy O’Connell said rural and remote small businesses unable to travel to a mediation now have access to mediation.
“There are a lot of small business owners who are not using our services and we are hoping video conferencing facilities will allow more small business to attend a mediation session without leaving their home,” she said.
“We will continue to offer dispute resolution services in regional centres, and video conferencing will not replace face-to-face mediation.”
