Jessie McRorie, also known as Jessie Ford-McRorie, was found a short time after the Ford Falcon utility he allegedly stole on Tuesday was torched at Les Stone Park.
The 18-year-old had been wanted after allegedly forcing his way into a Wodonga home last Thursday and assaulting the occupants.
Hours after his arrest, the Wodonga Magistrates Court was told McRorie had gone to the property with his dad, who is now wanted after skipping court.
The victims heard banging on the door and recognised the teenager’s voice during the incident last Thursday.
The court heard there was a loud banging sound at the rear of the home as Jessie forced his way inside.
The victim was punched in the head multiple times, causing them to black out and leaving them unable to breath.
A woman was allegedly punched as she tried to intervene.
Dean McRorie allegedly hit someone with a fishing rod.
The pair left but allegedly returned hours later.
The victim was this time armed with a tomahawk and defended himself.
The court heard the older McRorie was arrested at a nearby medical clinic but his son could not be found.
It’s alleged the 18-year-old and another person went to a home in the early hours of Tuesday and found keys in a Ford utility.

The pair allegedly stole the car, which was found burning in Les Stone Park at 3.45am, with McRorie arrested three minutes later.
“I was probably on some stuff I shouldn’t have been last night,” he told magistrate Ian Watkins during a bail application.
He said his dad had been “getting me into trouble that I don't need".
Police told the court McRorie was “using drugs quite regularly” with fears the victims would be stood over and coerced if he was released.
Mr Watkins refused bail, noting the extremely serious allegations, with the matter to return May 2.
