Captain Dinesh Chandimal says Sri Lanka are aiming to expose Australia's inexperienced batting line-up in a bid to pull off a "miracle" first Test win in Brisbane.

Chandimal backed his attack to strike early on a bouncy Gabba deck and heap pressure on an Australian order that may boast two debutant batsmen - Kurtis Patterson and 20-year-old Will Pucovski.
The Sri Lankan skipper said they did not underestimate the hosts but dared to dream of a maiden Test win on Australian soil against a line-up still without suspended captain Steve Smith and deputy David Warner.
Chandimal said he would confirm Sri Lanka's XI after their final training session on Wednesday.
However he was already licking his lips over the prospect of unleashing any of his squad's quicks - Suranga Lakmal, Lahiru Kumara, Dushmantha Chameera and Kasun Rajitha - on a lively Gabba wicket.
"When you look at the pitch you can see a lot of grass on the wicket (and) we have got really good fast bowlers who can bowl over 140km/h," he said.
"If you are bowling first, early wickets will be crucial.
"We never underestimate the Australian team but in their batting unit they are missing a lot of experienced players. So we can put them under a bit of pressure."
Sri Lanka are yet to taste victory in Australia after 13 Tests.
And the omens weren't good that the sixth-ranked Test nation would end their drought this summer, losing world class allrounder Angelo Mathews and fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep to hamstring injuries in the lead-up.
But Chandimal said they were inspired by India achieving their dream of victory on Australian turf, watching closely the 2-1 series win while on their recent tour of New Zealand.
"It will definitely be a challenge for us (but) if you can give your best shot and give 200 per cent to the team, we can do some miracles here," he said.
"India played some outstanding cricket throughout the series. We have watched from New Zealand and we have an idea when you are playing against Australia in these conditions what we have to do.
"And if you want to win the game what is the area we have to improve.
"It is a really good opportunity to make history and we just want to do that as a team."
Only Chandimal, Lakmal and Dimuth Karunaratne played in Sri Lanka's last Test in Australia in 2013.
