That came after a brief mention of the case against Shannon Devos in Albury Local Court on Tuesday.
Devos is charged also with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence with people present and aggravated dangerous driving occasioning death.
It has been alleged that Devos, represented in court by solicitor Rohan Harrison, was driving a stolen car at high speed when he crashed into another car.
Devos, who Mr Harrison said was not required to appear via a video link to jail, was seriously injured and needed a wheelchair after the crash.
Director of Public Prosecutions representative Jessica Dawson told magistrate Rodney Brender that charge certification was settled on January 23.
The matter, she said, would now go to a case conference on March 18. She requested it be re-listed in Albury for March 26.
Mr Harrison said Devos might also be facing “unrelated firearms matters”.
Meanwhile, the case against a Lavington man accused of the historic sexual abuse of a young girl has been moved from Albury to Goulburn.
Several of the allegations against Wayne Suters, 47 relate to incidents in Goulburn as well as the Sydney suburbs of Mount Druitt and Airds.
While the allegations were serious, Mr Harrison said, “the DPP is not in this at this point”.
The court was told that the brief of evidence against Suters would be completed by late February.
Mr Brender was told by the prosecutor that the case would join other matters at Goulburn and so the move was “not opposed”.
As with Devos, Suters did not appear in court via a video link but he must do so when his case is mentioned in Goulburn Local Court on February 13.
Suters was refused bail in Albury on December 18, based on the strength of the prosecution case, after his arrest by members of the NSW Police Southern Tablelands child abuse squad.
It is alleged that Suters began sexually abusing a girl at Mount Druitt as early as 2003 when she was aged as young as five and at Goulburn and Airds as recent as 2013 when she was 15.
