International Ballet Gala, presented by Projection Dance, Saturday Feb 2, 7.30pm, Tix $30
A global gathering of ballet superstars will take the stage at The Cube on Saturday night for Projection Dance Company’s International Ballet Gala. Featuring dancers from both home and abroad, the one night only show will showcase some of the most iconic scenes in ballet history. Directed by home-grown director Tim Podesta, this is an event not to be missed by those interested in the fine arts. Albanian star Marlon Dino and South American sensation Sebastian Vinet accompany local talents Zoe Cavedon and Amia Mason on stage.

Cinema & Song, Jindera Pioneer Museum, Sat Feb 2, 7pm, tix $15, $35 family
The next instalment of the museum’s Summer Series of outdoor events, Cinema & Song combines an underrated gem of Australian cinema, The Song Keepers, with the voices of the Sing Australia Albury-Wodonga choir. Telling the story of the Central Australia Aboriginal Women’s Choir embarking on a historical trip to Germany, a live soundtrack will be provided by the local choir as the film goes on. Gourmet food and drink will be available to purchase on site.

The final days of a unique exhibit spanning both sides of the Border are this weekend. The Year 12 Art Show has been showcasing the impressive and creative works of the Class of 2018 since early December. With time running out, get down to one of the three venues artwork is being showcased and celebrate the achievements of our most recent graduates.

The Dressmaker will always have a strong link to the Border, and the weekend could be the perfect chance to find out more. MAMA is exhibiting a collection of costumes from the iconic film, and costume and exhibition designer Marion Boyce is on hand to offer a special insight.
