The evening forum follows a petition, calling for a vote in the committee of management, being presented to sub-branch president Kevyn Williams in December.
Mr Williams said the meeting would involve two members for the motion and two opposed speaking, before voting occurred.
He cited confidentiality in declining to say who would talk, but said he would not be one of them.
“What they’ve (the objectors) done is they’ve brought personalities into it and and I prefer not to speak, simply because I’m the president,” Mr Williams said.
“I’ll chair the meeting and have two other speakers putting each position.”
Member Ian Deegan, who presented the petition, confirmed he would be one of those talking in favour of a no-confidence vote.
“I would just ask them to consider what’s happened in the past and let’s have a new beginning and encourage people to come back to the RSL,” Mr Deegan said of his message.
“I think it (the motion) will win based on the general talk and the meeting three weeks ago where the crowd was upset about the way the club has been run.”
Mr Williams declined to say how he thought the meeting would unfold.
Service and affiliate members can participate in the vote, with those in the social category excluded.
That means potentially around 250 people can decide the issue.
Mr Williams said if the vote succeeded an interim committee would be chosen and it could still include existing administrators.
“There are people on the existing board that have created this havoc,” he said.
Mr Williams said the interim group would be in place until March when the annual meeting is due to be held.
He said he planned to remain as president for a further year if the management team retained members’ confidence.
Mr Williams said there was nothing to stop affiliate and service members joining the sub-branch this week and voting on the motion at Monday’s 7.30pm meeting.
“We have a lot of retired members and serving members in the area that have decided to join the RSL, but I don’t think people are out there lobbying to have new members to join to just go against the motion,” Mr Williams said.
