The section one clash between Spencer and Bulle was a very tough battle, with the former sneaking home four sets to two.
Marianne Spencer, Chris Mollison, Melissa Rhodes and Brenda Roberts were solid in the tight rubbers when it counted.
Dee Gordon was in fine touch for Bulle throughout the match.
Varsha Reddy and Carolyn Spasojevic were good all morning in Reddy’s salute over Rouvray, while Danni and Sarah Coleman played well for the losers.
The remaining match saw Wurtz victorious against Martin.

In section two, McInerney, with Jen McInereny, Janny Molesworth, Anthea Dunlop and Kate Horsfall all contributing, produced a fine win against Taggart.
Quirk had all the answers in its defeat of Shiel.

Meanwhile, Saturday morning junior coaching commences at the Albury Grasscourts this week from 9.15am.
