Wellington will join Gerard Midson at the helm as the club attempts to bolster its on-field leadership.
“Jesse’s fitted in really well,” Midson said.
“On-field leadership is something we wanted to strengthen and Jesse’s going to be really good.
“Fitness is the another area we wanted to improve with the boys working hard.”
Wellington kicked three goals in Jindera’s preliminary final win over Henty and is set to play through the midfield and up forward.
He has also had stints with North Albury and Tallangatta.
“We’ve kept the majority of our list and have been averaging 30 at training,” Midson said.
“I’m confident we can improve.
“We’d like to win five games this year and build from there.”
