The fire was reported to be on the play equipment, at the intersection of Creek and Stanley streets in Albury, about 10.20pm on Tuesday.
Plastic roofing appeared to have been set on fire.
One fire crew was sent to the area and extinguished the flames.
The incident caused a small section of the roofing to melt.
Plastic also dropped down onto another part of the play equipment.
