The former Catholic College Wodonga student gained an apprenticeship at BeanStation Cafe last year and a foothold into the sector.
Soon after he developed his own personal brand and business, known as Ben’s Food Diary.
“This social media business has focused on sharing local hospitality with my community so as to allow fellow food lovers to be more engaged and involved in their local area,” he said.
“Part of this ‘sharing’ process has included live interviews with local hospitality-related business owners and collaborations with regional chefs to explore their personal experiences and work ethic, and meetings with industry leaders.”
Warhurst said he had gained a position as a product ambassador for the Essential Ingredient in Albury.
This month Warhurst will collaborate with chefs, TV presenters, food retailers and wineries to bring the first Border Food Forum to Wodonga.
