Uniform officers and detectives from Wodonga were seen at the the Gayview Drive and Robert Crescent homes throughout the morning, taking photographs and removing evidence bags.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Simpfendorfer confirmed the raids were in relation to an incident early on Sunday morning, where an offender was seen pouring petrol on a Holden Commodore in Jason Circuit, before setting it alight.
Footage showed the person coming close to setting himself on fire before he ran away.
"No arrests were made, but we seized a number of items in relation to the investigation," Detective Simpfendorfer said on Wednesday.
Detectives spoke to a neighbour, who told The Border Mail he did not know what was happening, but that the property was government housing.
Police are still calling for anyone with information on the arson attack to contact Wodonga detectives on (02) 6049 2700.
