First generation farmers Jade Miles and Charlie Showers, from Black Barn Farm, will manage neighbouring Europa Gully Orchard for its retiring owner Peter Chambeyron.
Ms Miles said the deal would allow their neighbours to keep their orchard in the ground.
"It means they won't have to bulldoze a multi-generational apple orchard with over 20 varieties of apples, pears, nashies and plums," she said.
"While our own newly-planted orchard (with over 70 varieties of apples) grows up, we will manage the orchard at Europa Gully so that retiring farmer Peter Chambeyron can take a well earned break from life on the tractor."
Black Barn Farm will open the Europa Gully Orchard for pick-your-own apples every Saturday during the harvest season from February 23 to June 1.
Ms Miles said the orchard had myriad varieties of heritage apples, such as Mutsu, Smoothee, King Cole, Five Crown and Cameo, as well as the popular Pink Lady, Gala and Fuji.
"All the apples have particular personalities and getting to know them is like going speed dating, some are tart, some are sweet, some get better with age and some need to be eaten immediately or they go soft," Ms Miles said.
"Some are crackin’ cookers some are so crunchy they split in your mouth, the odd one is a jack of all trades and some are best left for a few weeks so their sugars can come in to make your taste buds tap dance."
Mr Showers said the apples were grown without insecticides or herbicides.
“Because we don’t like eating food with artificial insecticides or herbicides, we figure you don’t either," he said.
"We only use certified organic insect control methods and go the extra mile to do many things by hand, such as thinning surplus apples rather than use chemical thinners.
"This deep consideration for our orchard ecosystem takes more time and costs us more but this means you and your troops can eat our fruit straight from the tree with no worries to be had."
Europa Gully Orchard, on Chambeyron Road, Stanley, will open every Saturday from February 23 to June 1, 10am to 4pm, as well as during long weekends and school holidays.
Twins Harry and Bertie, 11, will offer their apple cider doughnuts when they launch Dough Bros on February 23.
Pick-your-own apples cost $2.50 a kilogram.
People can bring their own baskets, boxes or bags to fill with seasonal apples.
