Despite dominating general play, Sharks kept their opponents in the match through missed chances.
Leah Dodd and Sophie McLeod led the way with three goals while Phebe McLeod scored two.
Brooke Dickie also performed well for Sharks.
Pool Pirates Skulls’ Rosanna Youings worked hard for her side and Olivia Clark found the net twice.
In the other match, Pool Pirates Bones defeated Albury 17-2.
Sam O’Connell and Mia Duryea were in everything for the victors while Sarah O’Brien also won plenty of the ball.
In men’s A grade, Northside kept their finals hopes alive with a surprise 10-8 win over Albury.
Young gun Rex Gallaher was prolific in attack with six goals with support coming from Trent Remington and Storm Strauss.
Albury were best served by Jimmy Scannell and Elijah Brooks.
Northside blew the match open with a third quarter blitz before the Tigers hit back late to take the match down to the wire.
Pool Pirates defeated Sharks by two goals.
Matt O’Connell and Danny Nugent played well for Pool Pirates while the ever-reliable Ben Douglass impressed for the undermanned Sharks.
The starting time for matches was rescheduled on Sunday due to the Victorian Junior Championships.
There is a general bye this weekend.
