Wodonga's Joy Lawton has a series of photographs taken at Laverton airport of the planes and people involved in the 1934 London to Melbourne air race.
The photos came via her late father, Lance Bishop, although not taken by him, because he and fellow RAAF recruits were working at the airport as part of the ground crew.

Mrs Lawton read in The Border Mail about historian Noel Jackling's search for artefacts connected to the Uiver story and went searching for the album, part of two suitcases of family photos her parents gave her for safekeeping.
"It was over 60 years ago, I was only in my early 20s," she said.
"All Mum said was, 'I know you'll look after them'."
Mrs Lawton, who moved to Wodonga from Melbourne 13 months ago, would now like to offer the photos to Albury Library Museum.
"My brother was quite surprised that I still had them," she said.
