Wangaratta Little Athletics Club was represented by seven athletes at the State Multi Event Championships in Melbourne this month.

Xavier Pitt competed in five disciplines in the under-13 boys and won the state gold medal, finishing the day with an impressive 800m run where he led the race from start to finish.
The two under-15 boys were both finalists in the state, after competing in seven disciplines over two days, with Alex Pitt seventh and Lachlan Carty eighth.
Also representing Wangaratta was Ashleigh Carty (16th under-13 girls), Gus Jayet (19th under-11 boys), Harrison Carty (23rd under-10 boys) and Beau Johns (34th under-nine boys).

Wangaratta Little Athletics Club were ranked 10th overall in the state.
"It was a fantastic achievement by these country athletes competing against the city kids," club representative Nicole Carty said.
A number of the club's athletes competed at the Northern Country Region Athletics Carnival at Albury's Led O'Brien Athletics precinct last weekend.
The Victorian State Track and Field Championships will be held in Melbourne midway through March.
