Battle of the Border is a T20 match organised by Belvoir cricketer Drew Cameron as part of his Stars of the Border Dance for Cancer campaign.
"There's always that little bit of banter between the NSW players and the Victorian players about which side of the border's the dominant side," Mr Cameron said.
"It's taken something we needed to fundraise for to get it up and running.
"Everybody I've asked about playing this have jumped on board really quickly. It just shows how eager people are to settle that score between the two states."

The Victorian team will be captained by Wodonga's Robbie Jackson while Lavington's Daryl Tuffey, a former New Zealand player, will take charge of NSW.
"It's about what team you play for currently, not so much about where you were born," Mr Cameron said.
The real estate agent has already collected more than $9500 for the Cancer Council NSW Dance for Cancer, a cause he was keen to join to support fellow cricketers and friends fighting the disease.
"It's just something little I can do to give something back," he said. "It's really outside my comfort zone, it obviously doesn't come naturally to me, dancing.
"If I can raise a fair bit of money and make myself look a bit of a tool for a couple of minutes on the dance floor, it will be worth it."
The Battle of the Border T20 will be held Friday, March 1, Lavington Sports Ground, gates open 6pm, game starts 7pm. VIP sponsorship packages available, call 0427 225 980. More details on Facebook.
