Three sets from Kevin Klose helped steer Albury Blue to a hard-fought victory over Wodonga Pirates with Chris Rokahr best for the losers.
Wodonga Eagles book ended their afternoon well completing a 4-2 win over Thurgoona Bears.
Darren Cheshire, Howard Shearer, Shaun Partl and Peter Slocomb were solid for the most part with Andrew McMillan in good touch for Bears.
SPD Tigers had the points in the bag after four rubbers, including two tight affairs, from Glenly Gold.
Tony Grigg and Scott Howsam finished unbeaten for the winners, with Sam Vabovac and David Rowe claiming a set for Glenly.
Albury Gold was too good for Forrest Hill Saints.
In the only section one ladies match played, a three-set haul from Lynda Davis saw Thurgoona Jade with a seven-game triumph over Wodonga Diamonds.
Jackie Rooke, Alison Barrett and Tricia Baldwin played well in support, with Jody Bidgood battling hard for the losers.
SPD Hilfiger, with Brock Dixon, Andrew Healy and Adib Golshan playing the big points well, defeated Wodonga Bulldogs, with Cameron Meagher best for the Dogs.
Singles wins for Nick Vicary, Josh Graetz and Rodney Wurtz set up Forrest Hill Cats’ hard fought 4-2 victory over Wangaratta.
Lewis Ahern, Jan Sachomel and Rory Parnell combined well for SPD Chills all afternoon to defeat Forrest Hill Galahs.

Tess Quinlan, Jess Knoth, Olive Cribbes and Molly Ebert finished strongly to grab victory over Glenly in section two, with Heather Carlin in good touch for Glenly.
A more experienced line-up, with Shellie Graham the standout on court, saw SPD Green account for Wodonga Rosellas.
Ruby Hodgkin was in good form for Rosellas.
Uiver Park were comfortable winners over SPD Gold.
Sacred Heart Green survived a close tussle against Forrest Hill Diggers in the best of section two men's action.
Brendan Hoffman remained unbeaten for the winners, while Gary and Ross Graetz were best for Diggers.
Wodonga Raiders ran away with the final sets to seal victory over SPD Yellow, with Terry McLean a three-set winner.
Peter Murphy and James Starr led Forrest Hill Blues to the win over Thurgoona Sharks, while Albury easily accounted for SPD Black and Forrest Hill Wombats defeated Wodonga Bushrangers.
In section four, Daniel Sobolewski was best on court in Lavington Dragons’ tough win over SPD Yellow.
Jack Jankauskas and Molly Dove lent support, while Luke Filliponi claimed two rubbers for the losers.
SPD Gold had the better of the close sets, going onto complete a fine win over Wodonga Bears.
Ryan and Blake Tinworth played well all afternoon, with Bailey Kiraly best for his team.
Wodonga Lions navigated the tight rubbers best, finishing with the points against Lavington Phoenix.
Josh Larkin, Daniel Honeychurch and Lucas Honeychurch combined well, with Jeremy Sinclair a singles winner for Phoenix.
The other completed match saw Scots Gold convincing winners over SPD Green.
In section five, Forrest Hill Galahs, SPD Crows and Albury Gold all enjoyed comfortable wins over SPD Red, Scots Pink and Forrest Hill Swans, respectively.
