The Red Hot Summer Tour returns to Wodonga this weekend. Series Two of the coveted touring festival will see the return of the Queen of Rock Suzi Quatro, with The Angels, Baby Animals, The Screaming Jets, Moving Pictures and Chocolate Starfish. After sold-out tours in 2014 and 2018, Quatro is back by popular demand to headline this ultimate rock 'n' roll line-up. Her big hits include The Wild One, 48 Crash and Devil Gate Drive.
ON TRACK
Wangaratta Cup, Wangaratta Turf Club, Saturday, March 2, and Sunday, March 3
The two-day carnival will feature Saturday twilight racing, followed by the annual Wangaratta Cup on Sunday. Off track, a family entertainment area will feature a giant water park, Kelly Sports activities and a petting zoo. Fashions on the Field will offer $4000 in prizes. Savour a showcase of North East food, wine and artisanal produce. A shuttle bus will run between Wangaratta, Beechworth, Bright, Bundalong, Melbourne, Myrtleford and Yarrawonga.
BORN AGAIN
Karise Eden, SS&A Club Albury, Saturday, March 2, 9pm, free
Australian singer-songwriter Karise Eden will bring her Born to Fight tour to Albury. The winner of the first series of The Voice Australia in 2012, Eden is one of world’s most distinctive singers and arguably Australia’s best soul and blues voice. Born to Fight is Eden's first album in four years. She will perform songs from it as well as the soul classics for which she is known and loved. Eden cites Janis Joplin, Axl Rose, Bon Jovi and Amy Winehouse as her musical inspirations.

FAST FIX
Repair Cafe Albury-Wodonga, Saturday, March 2, Sustainable Activity Centre, Wodonga, 10am-1pm
Take your broken costume jewellery to the Repair Cafe for help to re-thread beads and attach clasps. Volunteers will also fix items such as furniture, clothing, battery-operated appliances, scratched CDs-DVDs, books and bikes.
