A common theme emerged when participants of this year's Stars of the Border Dance for Cancer met to launch the community fundraiser.

"We're starting to freak out a little bit," Rebecca O'Brien admitted.
"Everyone seems to be really enjoying it, but I think we're all saying to each other we really need to add some more rehearsals in now."
Ten celebrity dancers are busy working with their teachers to learn a routine in eight weeks for the Cancer Council NSW event's gala night on April 5.

"Five weeks (to go), it goes so fast, I'm doing eight hours of training a week," Mrs O'Brien said.
"It's a lot of hard work, I'm way out of my comfort zone, I must admit.
"Dancing is not really my thing, but I'm learning and I'm willing to put in 100 per cent so I'm entertaining on the night."
She and dance teacher Chay Styles are preparing "ballroom with a twist".
"We've got some little surprises in store for the night," Mrs O'Brien said.
Improving her posture seems to be the main teaching point at the moment.
"You don't really think about it until 'Put your shoulders down!'," she said.
Her two young daughters are also ready to offer any extra tuition.
"They love it, I get home from dance training and I have to show them the moves and they correct me every time," Mrs O'Brien said.
"They go 'Mummy, I'm pretty sure it has to go like this'."
As well as family commitments, Mrs O'Brien, a corporate uniform designer, fits in her dancing around running her Albury-based business, Brie Corporate.
But she was keen to help fight cancer, the disease that took her mother nearly 20 years ago and also three close friends in recent years.
"Cancer touches everybody in different ways," she said.
"I'm just trying to do my little part that I can to raise as much funds as possible.
"One day, they will find a cure and knowing that I have helped in a small way will make me feel at ease.
"Even though it won’t bring back our loved ones, it may help to save someone else’s life."
Next Saturday, March 9, Mrs O'Brien will host a bus winery tour between 10am and 5pm to Tastes of Rutherglen with pick-ups at Henty, Culcairn, Lavington and Albury.
Tickets cover the coach trip, festival ticket, wine glass and a T-shirt, with all profits going to Cancer Council NSW.
"I really want to fill the bus, that's my goal," she said.
