After a solid pre-season, the Murray Bushrangers girls commence their NAB League campaign with a road trip to face Northern Knights at Craigieburn's RAMS Arena on Saturday.

The Bushrangers are coming off a mixed 2018, finishing the season in seventh position with three wins, five losses and a draw.
Nine players will make their debut on the weekend, including AFL NEB Female Football League products Amy Richardson (Thurgoona), Ally Williams, Kristy Whitehead, Sophia McCarthy and Sinead Lang (Alpine Lions), along with Finley's Lily Sharp, East Wagga's Ally Morphett, Shepparton Notre's Teagan Brett and St Kilda City junior Jess Ward.
Millie Brown is captain, Mikaela Trethowan and Sophie Locke are vice-captains, with Abby Favell, Kate Adams and Meg Todhunter completing the leadership group.

"These girls show leadership skills beyond their years both on and off the field," Bushrangers female talent coordinator Briana Cossar said.
"The commitment and dedication from the girls throughout the pre-season has been fantastic with many travelling more than two hours one way, twice a week, just to attend training."
