A shared love of motorcycles may begin some important conversations next weekend when bikers join in the second Black Dog Ride Albury-Wodonga.

About 150 people joined last year's inaugural Border event, one of many tours nationwide that aimed to raise awareness of depression and suicide prevention.

The 2019 ride on Sunday, March 17, begins at Choppertown Motorcycles and Kustoms, Wodonga, and travels around Dederang and Ovens before returning to St Ives Hotel on the Lincoln Causeway, a journey of about 160 kilometres.
Albury-Wodonga co-ordinator Mark Williamson said the Border ride would join with the Wangaratta group at Ovens and all riders continue on to Wodonga.
"It's a very broad spectrum of attendees and participants," he said.
"I think people are uniting in a like-minded cause and mission.
"We're losing too many people across Australia to suicide.
"The ride's just trying to break the ice, to open the discussion.
"It's a great thing to spread the word that we need to talk more."
