Tastes of Rutherglen, Saturday, March 9, and Sunday, March 10, 19 wineries in the Rutherglen wine region
Nineteen Rutherglen wineries will roll out the rustic carpet this Labour Day weekend. North East chefs and winemakers will team up to offer something to taste, sip and savour during the annual progressive feast. Enjoy behind-the-scenes winery tours, back-vintage tastings, Rutherglen Muscat mixology classes, cheese and chocolate pairings, wine-blending and bottling and varietal masterclasses. Rutherglen, Corowa, Wahgunyah, Wangaratta, Albury, Wodonga and Yarrawonga residents can access an online discount of 25 per cent to the festival.
SADDLE UP
Chiltern Rodeo, Sunday, March 10, Chiltern Racecourse Reserve, main event from 6pm
Rising rodeo stars will ride, rope and strut their stuff at the annual rodeo. The family-friendly program will offer all the thrills and spills of bull-riding, barrel racing, roping and steer events. The rodeo, which has been held for more than 20 years, has become a much-loved event on the town's calendar. Dust off your boots and support it!
HIGH LIFE
Myrtleford Festival, Saturday, March 9, Sunday, March 10, to Monday, March 11, Myrtleford and surrounds
The new-look Myrtleford Festival is on the move to the tree-lined recreational reserve on the outskirts of town. The 59th annual festival will offer live entertainment, markets, food stalls, exhibitions and a night street party. Festival Princess will be crowned on Saturday night. The Sunday parade will run at the reserve while fireworks will bring the weekend to an end.
MARKET FORCES

Twenty traders will offer handmade bags, purses and clutches, scarves, jewellery, bric-a-brac and homemade organic soaps. Formal and evening dresses will be sold to raise money for the local volunteer fire brigade. Jumping castle for kids.

The circus is in town! Circus Rio features Samba dancers, aerialists who dangle from the roof of the Big Top, FMX bikes that soar through the air, ballet dancers and flying trapeze.

Artists from across the country have entered almost 500 artworks in the 2019 Rutherglen Tastes of Art Prize. Hosted by Arts Rutherglen, the Rutherglen Tastes of Art Prize runs alongside the Tastes of Rutherglen food and wine festival.
