This year, celebrating its 26th birthday, The Tallangatta Farming Expo is back on April 11 at the picturesque Tallangatta Showgrounds.

Come and enjoy some real country Australian hospitality in this north-eastern Victorian town, situated on the southern shoreline of an arm of Lake Hume just 30 kilometres south-east of Wodonga.

With free entry for all visitors, the expo gives expo goers more to spend with the many exhibitors.

Presented by the community in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Tallangatta, the expo showcases all things farming with an emphasis on sustainable farming, taking in small holding farming as well as sustainable living.

Sustainably good

Exhibits featuring sustainable products such as renewable energy and innovative building materials will be in attendance, complementing the traditional farm exhibits such as machinery, animal genetics, animal fertility, fodder, fencing, soil fertility and much more.

Mitta Valley Landcare will take over the TM Ley Pavillion to focus on all things landcare.

Rotor Solutions Australia will have a helicopter on site to showcase their aerial farming services and speak to farmers about all their aerial needs.

They’re back: “Tiny Talks Under the Towering Trees”

This year’s Farming Expo will once again have an interactive feel with exhibitors given opportunities to run “Tiny Talks Under the Towering Trees.”

Popular last year and back again in 2019, the Tiny Talks give exhibitors a chance to talk on topics important to them and their customers.

Giveaways galore

Over $1,150 worth of lubricants and other farm products have generously been donated by North East Oils have kindly to be raffled on the day.

These raffle proceeds will go towards the Queensland floods to assist people unable to access insurance and other avenues of assistance.

The whole event is Rotary sponsored so all profits made will be channelled back into worthy projects within the community, both locally and further afield.
