Skin conditions such as adult acne can have a huge impact on self-esteem.
This is why the mission at Luxe Skin Clinic Albury is based around improving not only these skin conditions but what's on the inside too.
Self-confidence - empowering clients to have the confidence to feel their best on a daily basis.
Luxe Skin Clinic owner and dermal therapist Erin Ryan said during her time in the industry she had seen an increasing number of people presenting with cases of adult acne as opposed to just the more traditionally well-known issue of adolescent skin concerns.
"It's heartbreaking to see some people come in so self-conscious," she said.
Ms Ryan, who trained at the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science, said she had worked in the industry for more than 10 years.
Her clinic uses the DMK treatment system for skin conditions including acne and rosacea.
Ms Ryan said the range originated in the U.S. but now had a large global following.
She said it involved home prescriptive plus in-clinic treatments and many clients travelled to Albury to access the treatment from other regional areas.
The system also includes a range of treatments for ageing.
Ms Ryan said being an authorised therapist involved going through an intensive education process.
And the Albury clinic will proudly host the launch of two new DMK products on Thursday evening with the director of education for DMK Australia.
Ms Ryan said "the results it can produce is like nothing I've seen before" - especially for inflammatory conditions such as acne and rosacea.
Luxe also has a focus on taking time at client consultations to discuss their individual skin conditions and needs.
They take pride in their warm, welcoming environment.
Luxe won the Albury Wodonga Business Awards Most Outstanding Micro Business in 2017.
