The Bulldogs lost to Tallangatta and District league grand finalists Thurgoona by four points last Saturday.
Whenever an O and M outfit falls to a district club the alarm bells start ringing, externally at least.
But the Bulldogs' boss says he's not worried by the scoreboard.
"Probably not, we wouldn't have had more than half-a-dozen senior players on at any one time," he said.
"There are a few things we need to get better at, but that's going to be the case for our group each week I think.
"I was disappointed with our skill level, we played a game the week before (against Euroa) and it was positive, but on Friday night it wasn't exactly where we needed it to be.
"Our pattern of ball movement wasn't exactly where it needed to be and it's not what we've been training for.
I was disappointed with our skill level ... pattern of ball movement wasn't exactly where it needed.

"It was OK at times, not at other stages."
Wodonga is the only O and M club to play four practice games.
The Bulldogs will now face Shepparton Swans at Wodonga Senior Secondary College on Saturday, with the final game away to Benalla on March 23.
Meanwhile, Thurgoona coach Brett Doswell says he was shocked at the feisty nature of the clash.
"It was a bit fiery and a couple of the guys got fired up, but it was sorted out pretty quickly," he said.
"It was a bit surprising to see and I'm not a big fan of it, especially in practice matches. I don't see the point of it."
