Wodonga Show, Saturday March 16, Wodonga Show Society, Hamilton Smith Drive, 9am to 4pm
Since 1947, Wodonga Show Society has been celebrating agricultural and community pursuits almost every year, with Saturday's event to be the 71st show. Attractions include live music, Irish dancing, Lego displays and exhibits of photography, cookery, craft and produce. Among the animals to see will be cattle, sheep, working dogs and alpacas. Free entries for the Young Farmers Challenge, a fun obstacle course based on farming skills, will be taken from noon.

DRIVER DELIGHT
Chryslers on the Murray, Saturday, March 16, and Sunday, March 17, Gateway Lakes, Lincoln Causeway, Wodonga
Car enthusiasts of all ages will find plenty to see this weekend with hundreds of classic vehicles in town. Described as the biggest Chrysler show in the southern hemisphere, the 27th annual event will be on full display on Sunday at Gateway Lakes. The family-friendly event will include face painting, children’s rides, a swap meet and shaded areas.
NATURE'S MUSIC
Music In The Gardens, Sunday, March 17, Albury Botanic Gardens, 1pm to 3pm
In the first of Albury Council's free autumn outdoor concert series, Melbourne-based group TEK TEK Ensemble will fill the city's gardens with music. The dynamic mini orchestra is inspired by tropical jungles, late night Balkan weddings, 1960s chic and desert rituals.
TASTE SENSATION
North East Food and Wine Festival, Saturday, March 16, Junction Place, Wodonga, 3pm to 8pm
Celebrate the best of the region's food, wine and produce at this free twilight festival presented by Wodonga TAFE. Enjoy food and beverage stalls, live entertainment, children's activities and more. The event aims to develop a sustainable food tourism market for the North East and also build economic resilience for their businesses. An added bonus is to provide real-life, paid work experience for a number of Wodonga TAFE's students.

Dederang Races, Saturday, March 16, Dederang Recreation Reserve, Gates open 9.30am
A new date but the same hospitality can be expected when Dederang Picnic Race Club holds its annual race day. A wonderful way for friends and family to relax and unwind, the day features a six-race program including the Dederang Cup.
SEASON FINALE
CAW Hume grand final, Saturday, March 16, Walbundrie Sportsground, from 1pm
Walbundrie and Rand will meet to decide the inaugural premier of Cricket Albury Wodonga's Hume competition. Walbundrie will be chasing its first flag since 1952-53 while the Pigeons are looking to win their seventh straight title.
