Euroa resident Shane Wheatland has been named the party's candidate.
He works as an underground fitter in the mining industry and was previously a public servant helping people with their legal problems after starting his law studies in 2009.
Mr Palmer said the 28 candidates announced to contest Victorian seats at the next federal election were "the first time Australia has real choice instead of the duopoly that Liberal and Labor have created by voting together to keep other alternatives out of the federal Parliament".
“Unlike them, the United Australia Party is not comprised of career politicians," he said.
"We are a party made up of genuine Australians who want to serve the country, to change the course of history and steer in a bright new era for Australia."
Independent MP Cathy McGowan will step down as Indi MP at the next election.
