THE Murray Bushrangers opened their winning account with a 24-point victory over Western Jets at Yarrawonga's J.C. Lowe Oval on Sunday.
With Lavington's Olivia Barber and Thurgoona's Chelsea Hargreaves featuring prominently, the Bushrangers stamped their authority on the match by kicking the opening five goals.
Abbey Favell and Sophie Locke also played well.
Emilee McPherson was the most dangerous forward on the ground with two majors.
It was an impressive turnaround by Tim Madden's side after it suffered a hefty loss at the hands of the Northern Knights.
Earlier in the day, the Bushrangers defeated the Jets in the futures round.
