Despite an improved display, the Border outfit was unable to shake its poor start to the campaign, suffering it's fourth defeat from the first five rounds.
The Border side wasn't without its fair share of chances, but trailed 1-0 at half-time after Ben Everson found a way through the Murray defence.
Bulleen won a penalty 20 minutes into the second half, but it was kept out by Kerim Koc and swung the momentum back Murray's way.
Tom Youngs equalised in the 77th minute, but it was Daniel Maclennan who broke Murray's hearts with the match-winner 10 minutes from full-time.

"At the end of the day we feel like we deserved a point, but if you can't cash in on your chances, it's probably a fair result," Jones said.
"It was a big improvement on last week in terms of the way we played on the ball.
"I thought we created some chances and we kept the ball for larger chunks of the game - we were right in that contest.
"It comes down to moments and they punished a couple of mistakes we made and we weren't able to capatalise on a couple of really good chances."
Jones praised Youngs for his ability to find the back of the net when the side hasn't been at its best.
The ladder is: Eastern Lions 13, Langwarrin 10, Melbourne City 8, Box Hill 8, Bulleen 8, Northcote City 7, Springvale 5, Manningham United 4, Goulburn Valley Suns 4, Murray United -2.
