Slade moved to within 110 points of leader Scott McLaughlin following four top-10 finishes at Melbourne Grand Prix event at the weekend.
"The linear spring change seems to have suited us so far and the engineering group have done a good job with making it work," Slade said.
"We've had some good speed so to get a podium result is really pleasing.
"It was very satisfying to grab another top-10 finish on Sunday and end the weekend bagging a good amount of points for our championship."
Team boss Brad Jones was also upbeat with Nick Percat eighth after the first two rounds of the year.
Brad's son, Macaulay, had another tough weekend being spun early in race four and sustaining race ending damage.
David Reynolds is also having a good start to the season, sitting in seventh spot.
