Beer scored an upset victory yesterday with Anna Baabella and looks to have several strong chances today.
The young trainer was particularly looking forward to his three-year-old So Magnifique contesting the $80,000 3YO Guineas (1400m).
So Magnifique has stamped himself as a promising galloper in the making after scoring consecutive wins at Benalla and Wangaratta.
"So Magnifique is a young horse going places and I've always had a good opinion of him," Beer said.
"I think if he runs the 1400-metres he will be very hard to beat.
"That's the only query.
"He ran out a very solid 1200-metres at Wangaratta so I can't see the extra furlong being a huge drama."
Beer pinpointed Shinseki in the Adrian Ledger Memorial as his best chance on the card.
Shinseki is a $5.50-chance.
