Emperor's Way is set to start favourite in the $180,000 feature after being narrowly beaten in Listed company at Randwick last-start.
Schofield is set to launch a hit and run mission and will fly in from Sydney for several mounts before returning after the meeting to ride at Randwick the following day.
Snowden was hoping the chances of showers today didn't eventuate.
"It looks a nice race for him and we are just hoping the track stays firm track and there is no rain," Snowden said.
"My horse is a lot superior on the top of the ground.
"He has drawn a bit awkward but I couldn't be happier with the horse.
"He has won in Listed company previously so he is in the right class."
Emperor's Way has eased slightly from an opening quote of $4.40 to $4.60.
The son of Roman Emperor boasts a consistent record of six wins and 10 minor placings from 24 career starts.
"He last run at Randwick was a good effort and he wasn't beaten far," he said.
"He is well weighted.
"Glynn was keen to make the trip and has got a good record on the horse."
