Murray group CWA awards prizes, prepares for state duties

CONGRATULATIONS: Murray group land cookery officer Clare Oliver presents Josie Kilpatrick with her trophy for best cake of the day at the Gerogery CWA gathering.
The Country Women's Association Murray group expects about 700 women to attend the NSW state conference it will host in Albury between May 5 and 9.
Winning articles from the Murray group's annual cookery and handicraft day at Gerogery earlier this month will be among those to be judged at state level.
After the state judging, all entries in both cookery and handicrafts will be put on display.

PRIZE WINNER: Sarah Quast, of Albury Evening CWA branch, with her best piece of work.
At the Gerogery event, Albury branch's Josie Kilpatrick won best cake on the day while Sarah Quast, of Albury Evening, took out best piece of work.
Best one of eight article taken from the branch competition went to Lorraine Marcus, of Oaklands.
In the best branch overall, Jindera came first from Oaklands and Table Top.
Guest speakers attended from the State Emergency Service and My Aged Care.
